Congratulations to Danielle Pieters and Trenzador’s on their win at the Eastern Cape Eventing Championships 2018 at CNC1*.

Trenzador is fed exclusively on Equus as is the entire yard of 40horses based in Knysna and supplied by Jo Mincione of Top Nosh.
In addition to winning the EC Championships – Trenzador and Danielle were 2nd at South African Championships at Kurland in September as well as 4th at Western Province  Championships in George in April.

I just wanted to send you a message, to say I really love your feed.
I have an Anglo Arab who used to come in from his training sessions with what I termed “itchy legs” many blood tests late, and lots of money I was at a loss and it was suggested I look at his feed.

After talking to Helen for a good few hours we decided to try the Safe n Lite. After making the change and getting back to the same level of training as before, I no longer saw any signs of the so called “itchy legs”.

With such good results I moved all my horses over to Equus. My weanlings and youngsters are on All Time Balancer for now, Happy Hackers on Nice n Easy and my Endurance horses on Cool n Perform 12%. What is a bonus is that the low sugar based feed is always fresh and looks, lovely. I just want to eat it myself.

I was the lucky winner of the Equus competition where I won 10bags of Equus food for my horse.

On receiving my prize, I had a consultation with Helena Basson (from SA Horse Feeds, my local supplier) and together with Hannah and Helen we worked out the best diet for my horse Cheval.

Well Cheval has never looked better and is on top form! Thank you Equus for my incredible prize.

Just a short note to say thank you for your help. We have used Equus now for many years and have always been happy with how well our horses look.

Being “good doers”, our Clydesdales don’t need much however the Equus All Time Balancer has been extremely useful and puts my mind at ease knowing that I can still provide all their daily essentials without adding in the calories they don’t need.

I have been using your range for more than 5 years now at my own private yard in Chartwell. I have found that my riding horses have better concentration and energy without anxiety while maintaining their weight and building muscle. I use Equus Cool n Perform and Equus Nice n Easy or a combination of both depending on the level of work expected from each horse. I also found that my retired horses’ coats and condition improved when changing onto Equus Nice n Easy.

My dressage horse, Donnara Lusin has been on Equus Cool n Perform since 2014 when I bought her. I have produced her myself from Prelim level up to Medium level and together we have enjoyed much successes on our journey. Her health, condition and muscle tone speaks volumes for Equus feeds!

I have been feeding Equus for the last 3years. All my competition horses are fed on Equus products ranging from the Equus Nice ‘n Easy and Equus Safe ‘n Lite to the Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12. I don’t have to feed a lot and the horses look and feel fantastic. Last year we travelled from Stillbaai to Durban and not one of them lost condition. Hannah is always on hand to answer any questions should I have any.

I thought id share some pictures of my mare with you. She is 19 years old and still in full work. She does 3 outrides a week (sometimes up to 3 hours), lunges once a week, i school her once a week, and she hunts every other weekend.

I use to compete her up untill 2013 (showjumping, eventing and dressage) but decided to stop as she got older. The one thing that makes my mare tricky is that she suffers from Cushings. She has been on Equus Safe n Lite now for over 6years (along with Honeyvale Herbs and a good amount of roughage) and is doing wonderfully. Currently she doesn’t even need medication for her Cushings. Her mind and body are still 100% sound. I’m so happy with her condition and way of going

I have had my thoroughbred, Seattle Breeze, for about a year and a half now. She has been fed Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12% for a few months and the difference it has made is huge! Her coat has become smooth and glossy, her condition has improved significantly and she has put on that bit of extra weight that she needed. She is quite a hot and forward going horse and the Equus feed has managed to calm her down ever so slightly without losing her energy and she is now working calmly and happily.

During the first few years I owned Charlie it became the norm that he would colic during the change of seasons until three years ago when he had colic on a regular basis, on some occasions needing three treatments on any given day.  Due to the increasing episodes of colic, he lost a lot of weight and condition.  He was on medication and supplements which were not making much of a difference, so I decided to get hold of Equus as I was desperate.  I had only ever heard good things about Equus and decided to give the feed a try.  Helen suggested that I start him on Equus Safe ‘n Lite, feeding small meals of no bigger than 1kg.  The change was incredible and in the first two months he picked up 45kgs with no colic attacks.  Since then, he’s been doing really well and is now on only a small amount of Equus Safe ‘n Lite with added Equus Nice ‘n Easy as he loves the pellets.

Thanks to Equus he is a changed horse!”

Mace is a 21 year old TB which I brought to my yard on 19^th August 2016.  I immediately fed him  Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12% and Equus All Time Balancer.

After 2 weeks there was a huge improvement in his coat, weight and droppings. After a month now, he looks like a different horse and his muscle atrophy is being reversed. I am so happy as he deserves Happy Twilight years.

I just wanted to write to tell you about my fizzy, off the track TB, which at four years old and 18hh is no joke!  Since changing him to the Equus range of products, he has shown fantastic weight gain and muscle development with an ultra laid back attitude towards everything. On any other feed I would be bankrupt with a nutcase under saddle! With Equus, I don’t have to feed much and the Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12%, All Time Balancer and Nice ‘n Easy all describe Royal Chief: cool and performing, well balanced , and very nice ‘n easy !
